Research has shown that the early years of young children have a strong influence in their achievements in the later years. With the increasing amount of time young children spent in preschools, it is vital that preschool and kindergarten teachers be trained in both teaching pedagogical skills and in understanding of growth and development of young children.
This 1200 hour course is specially designed for preschool and kindergarten teachers to improve their teaching skills and knowledge of young children.

Individual and/or group assignments, written examinations, and supervised teaching practice.
Award of Certificate
Upon successful completion of coursework and practicum, a minimum of 80% attendance, students will be awarded the International Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education issued by KLC International Institute, Singapore.

Admission Requirements
Candidates must have minimum of 10 years in formal education with the following English Language requirements:
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – A minimum overall band of 5.0 in the IELTS; OR
• Certificate in English Proficiency (CEP) – Completion of KLCII Certificate in English Proficiency Level 3; OR
• College English Test (CET) – Band 4 or a total mark of 450 or above in the new CET 4; OR
• Public English Test System (PETS) – Band 4 in Public English Test System
