Course Summary
Through this Higher Diploma programme, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the function and contexts in which accounting operates. They will get in connection with a range of techniques and practices of accounting, and find out the accepted ways of accounting. Contemporary theories and empirical evidence concerning the operation of accounting in capital markets, businesses and society will be introduced to students to enrich their understanding of the general industry.
This programme is recommended for people who have completed their GCE ‘A’ level, higher NITEC, Auston Certificate and working adults who want to upgrade themselves and gain a better understanding on how to manage a corporate environment and gain direct entry onto the top up bachelor degree

Entry Requirement
Candidates aged 18 years or older are eligible to enter the Higher Diploma programme with one of the following qualifications:
Other equivalent qualification from recognised institutions (completed 12 years of formal education)
Matured candidates with more than 2 years of relevant experience
Applicants whose first language is not English or whose previous qualification was not taught and assessed in English must provide evidence of attainment in English Language by achieving a GCE ‘O’ level C6, an IELTS 5.5 or an equivalent qualification.
Graduation and Progression
Students will be awarded with Higher Diploma in Accountancy upon completion of the programme. Graduates of the programme can then move on to pursue Bachelor’s degree programmes with one of our university partners.
