This course is designed for those who want to work in career education, career guidance and career counselling.
The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) has endorsed the Graduate Certificate of Career Development delivered by James Cook University as meeting the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners.
This course can also be completed in conjunction with the Master of Guidance and Counselling.

3 subjects successfully completed to earn 12 credits.

3 trimesters per year
Study Program
Students are required to complete 3 core subjects.
Core subjects
*This subject consists of 6 credit points, equal to 2 subjects of 3 credit points each.
Students who have successfully completed a Master of Guidance and Counselling degree or postgraduate equivalent may apply for advanced standing for core subjects Foundations of Counselling Theory and Career and Leisure Guidance and Counselling.
