This part-time Diploma is offered to eligible applicants who need to obtain advanced standing for articulation to the final year (year 3) of the Warwick BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Care and Education. 

The course is specially designed to cover equitable course work and formal assessments equivalent to Level 2 of Warwick degree for holders of the WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education/Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching or WSQ Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education/Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Leadership accredited by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA).

Mode of Delivery

WSQ Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education/Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Leadership (Route A) Bridging Modules

There are two modules to be taught by Warwick tutor over two weeks of intensive block teaching. Pre-course study guide and reading materials will be distributed to students prior to commencement of class for their course preparation. The duration of Bridging Module is 3 month period.

• Module 1: Birth to eight years
• Module 2: Policy, Principles, Practice and Play

WSQ Professional Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education/Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (Route B) Top-up Modules

This is a 9-month part-time Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education course taught by KLC International Institute faculty and validated by the University of Warwick.

• Module 1: Current Issues and Research in Early Childhood Care and Education.
• Module 2: Designing The Early Childhood Care and Education Curriculum.
• Module 3: Understanding and Implementing Action Research in Early Childhood Care and Education.

Award of Certificate

Upon completion of the course, successful candidates will be awarded the Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education by the University of Warwick.
