DEMONSTRATE UNDERSTANDING OF THE
FUNDAMENTALS OF PHARMACY WORK
ENVIRONMENT
This module aims to provide the trainees,
pharmacy support workers, with the skills and
knowledge to be familiar with the core functions
and requirements of a pharmacy.
This module also equips trainees with the skills
to use appropriate pharmacy terminology for communication.
At the end of module, trainees should be able to
understand and communicate to patients and
clients the different types of services provided in
a pharmacy, use common pharmacy
terminology when performing work duties,
understand the setup and requirements of a
pharmacy, follow legal guidelines in decision
making and work activities, identify the various
types of drug classifications and to list
requirements of signed order and prescription.
