COURSE DESCRIPTION

This programme aims to develop the four language skills, namely Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking at the levels of language proficiency in English specified by the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and the Common European Framework (CEF).

The entry point to each level will depend on an entry placement test. Students are able to attend two proficiency levels for the duration of their contracts, on provision that they pass the level exit test held every three months.

MODULE STRUCTURE

The course is made up of 5 Levels.

• Level 0 Starter
• Level 1 Elementary
• Level 2 Pre-Intermediate
• Level 3 Intermediate
• Level 4 Upper Intermediate

DELIVERY METHOD

Classroom lessons include some or all of the following:

• Skills presentation by instructors
• Group discussions
• Student presentations
• Audio visual aids
• Workshop activities

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

At least 14 years of age.

Completed AEC Placement Test.

ASSESSMENT AND GRADING

Individual task-base assignments (Only for Beginner level) and formal exam-style assessments which test students on listening, reading, writing and speaking abilities.
