The coverage is broad, and upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to:

– Understand the principles of air distribution system related to human comfort
– Understand the functions of air distribution system components, including major equipment types and auxiliary components
– Select type of supply outlets based on the Air Diffusion Performance Index (ADPI)
– Select return/exhaust inlets and air filter
– Determine the duct size and pressure losses in the duct system
– Determine the system effect at the fan inlet/outlet
– Select suitable type of fan and fan control for the system
– Understand the basic acoustics and noise measurement in MVAC system
– Understand Pump&System in water condensing system
– Determine the pipe size, pressure losses and pump size in the water condensing system
– Understand the principle codes and standards (e.g. CP13, ASHRAE, SMACNA and AMCA) applied in air system design
