The course aims to develop independent research and study skills required when working at senior managerial level in the industry. It is therefore an excellent preparation for either entry to the workplace or as a springboard into final year bachelor degree level study.
Objectives and Expected Outcomes
The CTH Level 5 Diploma in Hospitality is a substantive management programme. It aims to provide students with an understanding of the managerial, decision-making and leadership aspects of the hospitality industry.

• Operational Finance in Tourism and Hospitality
• Human Resource Management in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry
• Strategic Marketing in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry
• Food and Beverage Management
Work assessment or Assignment (100%):
*Note: candidate must choose one of the above for work assessment, which will be performed during the 6-month work experience. Individual modules shall be graded either as fail, pass, merit or distinction. However, the qualifications are either achieved or not achieved.
Certification
Students who have completed and passed all the required modules will be awarded
Progression Path
Students are able to progress to CTH Level 6 Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management
