Course Description
In the recent years, there have been an increasing number of courses that specialises in preparing and training individuals to be professional and para-professional people helpers, especially in the area of counselling. However, case management has been a missing component in a number of these courses.
When used appropriately, case management could assist clients in receiving needed services in a supportive, effective, efficient and cost effective manner and could provide a more holistic approach to people helping. The benefits of case management could be applied to various settings, for example social service agencies, community organisations, educational institutions, religious organisations. As such, the skills of case management can serve to promote the multi-prong approach to people helping.
