Course Description

Ever wanted to create little figurines or toppers for your cakes but found it too daunting?  The thought can be quite intimidating if you don’t know how. Well, “Our Mini Figurine Fantasies” class is just the class to teach you how.

This class is ideal for those who want to create toppers using sugarpaste as part of their cake decoration design.

You will learn the essential properties of sugarpaste, how to cover a cake with fondant and then, the focus of this class – create tiny sugarpaste figurines (also get cool tips like getting the head to stay on!) and create the perfect landscape or backdrop for your figurines.

Sugarpaste modelling is not as intricate if you have the right techniques and know what works best. Playing with different simple themes, creating adorable figurines can be a fun and enjoyable experience. These easy to do figurines or toppers are good for whole cakes as well as cupcakes

Based on a “farmyard theme”, you will be guided step-by-step, to hand mold Sheila sheep, Clara cow, Henrietta hen, Patsy pig to name a few, then you will . We will help to give their farm a new makeover, all as we teach you about simple sugarpaste modelling!

In this class you will:

* Cover a 6” Butter Cake with sugarpaste

* Colour and hand mold small farm animals from sugarpaste

* Learn correct way of using various Sugarcraft tools and molds to recreate landscapes, backdrops and accents to fit theme of mini figurines
