The Marine Medical Care course is provided to seafarers who are designated to provide medical care on board vessels at sea.

Course aims to enable candidates on completion of training to provide medical first aid on board ship in accordance with Section A-VI/4-2 of the STCW Code.

The level of knowledge of the subjects shall be sufficient to enable the designated seafarer to take immediate effective action in the case of accidents or illness likely to occur on board ship.

In order to register for this course, trainees must have completed Medical First Aid on Board Ship course with Section A-VI/4-1 of the STCW Code.
